How does the app work?

Levelmeter is an Android app that uses sound and echo to measure the depth to water. All you need to do is:

Bring your phone to the mouth of the well
Press the start button.
Wait 5 seconds

The app emits a sound pulse, catches the echo, and calculates the distance based on the speed of sound in the air.

You can:

Measure the static level before pumping starts
Turn on the pump and measure the dynamic level during operation
